In the morning I have worked on the module containing the list of the essential books about Che Guevara.
All of them were given a short review containing my opinion (if I have read them before) and I have added a new one: Che - El Camino del Fuego, written by Orlando Borrego who was Che's colleague in the Ministry of Industry. (The book can be downloaded free in the original Spanish language from the module titled Quotes and speeches).

Vietnam to Give Che Guevara Some Street Cred
|
Vietnam doesn’t have a lot of communist friends left. So for its latest tribute to good old revolutionary ideals it’s looking to Che Guevara.
Ho Chi Minh City is currently in the process of renaming a slew of streets – part of an exercise in honoring a national war hero. And one of them is slated to carry the name of the most wearable Marxist of them all: el Che.
Street naming is always a symbolic affair, but in an increasingly capitalistic Vietnam this moment stands out. The country already leaves prices mostly up to the market, and this year it will take an even bigger step down the capitalist path by privatizing hundreds of state-owned firms.
To maintain some Red cred, cosmetic gestures like the renaming are “cheap,” according to one former US diplomat who continues to research the country. “It’s a way to show that socialism or socialist ideals remain alive in Vietnam, without costing anything,” said David Brown, a one-time political officer recently on one of his frequent visits to Ho Chi Minh City.
Paying homage to Ernesto “Che” Guevara makes sense, somewhat. The Argentine revolutionary famously backed the Viet Cong guerrilla force that fought against South Vietnam during the war in the 1960s. In a 1967 speech, Mr. Guevara said the world needed “two, three, or many Vietnams” to achieve a true proletarian revolution. The new street sign will in some ways serve as a thank you, 47 years later.
Still, it’s a bit of an odd choice. Sure, books about Mr. Guevara have been translated into Vietnamese, and he occasionally shows up on restaurant walls or in museum exhibits here alongside Marx and Lenin, two other famous communists. But most Vietnamese would not recognize Mr. Guevara on a T-shirt – where his face is ubiquitous – let alone know what he fought for.
Odder still is that Che Guevara Street is coming here to the city formerly known as Saigon. Unlike Hanoi, the conservative capital up north, Ho Chi Minh City has a long history of entrepreneurship and trade. It does hang hammer-and-sickle flags and posters as far as the eye can see, but it is not as overt in its communist solidarity as Hanoi – there’s no Lenin park here, for instance.
The few streets that are named after foreigners are non-ideological, such as Alexander de Rhodes, who helped Romanize the Vietnamese script.
The impetus for this municipal makeover was the death last October of Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap, the last of Vietnam’s great revolutionary war heroes and second only to Ho Chi Minh. In the wake of his death, people’s committees, similar to city councils, have set about renaming their streets in his honor. And it seems that while they’re at it, Ho Chi Minh City officials have decided to put a few other communists on the map as well.

Újabb változások
Újabb változások történtek a Menüben (noha a tartalom nem változott):
~ a Che neveiről és a családjáról szóló modulok egyetlen modulba kerültek
~ új menüpont született, a címe: Emlékei a nagyvilágban.

I have made some new changes in the Menu (though the contents have not been changed):
~ the modules about Che's names and about his family became a joint module
~ a new module was born, titled Memories around the world
Here you can find the modules about Alta Gracia, Santa Clara, Che's statues, and in the future you will be able to read a new module titled Cuba, where I am going to collect all the places and buildings in Cuba that have a kind of connection to Che
~ the module Charges and refutation has been put more forward in the list
And from now, the posts about Gallery updates will be deleted at the end of each month. Those who wants to check out photos, will know where they should look for them, organised into categories. ;)

Ivanchuk, with 2,739 points in Elo ranking, confirmed his participation among the six elite-group players invited to the tournament. Ivanchuk's presence consolidates Copablanca Memorial tournament as one of the best ones with high rivalry among the elite group, according to Jose Luis Ramirez, spokesman of the Cuban Chess Federation. The Ukrainian player, winner of the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010 editions of the Havana's tour, will visit the island for the sixth time, where the chess fans consider him an idol. Ivanchuk leads the ranking of winners of the oldest chess tournament in the continent.
He will play in the elite group against grandmasters Hungary's Zoltan Almasi (2,707), who is the current champion, Spain's Francisco Paco Vallejo (2,707), the Philippines' Wesely So (2,738) and Cubans Lazaro Bruzon (2,676) and Leinier Dominguez (2,757). Copablanca Memorial tournament was born in 1962, as an initiative of legendary Ernesto "Che" Guevara. The first winner was Argentine Miguel Najdorf, followed by Russians Boris Spassky, Vassily Smyslov and Lev Polugaesky.
Since 1974, the Copablanca Memorial included two groups, while in 1980 it increased to four groups until 2006, when it established the current division of one double-round elite group including six players, making the tournament the most important one held in Cuba.

Ernesto Che Guevara, the Argentine-born revolutionary, minister, guerrilla leader and writer, received his medical degree in Buenos Aires, then played an essential part in the Cuban Revolution in liberating and rebuilding the country. He did his best to set up the Cuban economy, fought for the improvement of the education and the health system, the elimination of illiteracy and racial prejudice. He promoted voluntary work by his own example. He fought in the Congo and in Bolivia - he was thirty-nine years old, when he was trapped and executed by the joint American-Bolivian forces.
