Ernesto Che Guevara, az argentin származású forradalmár, miniszter, gerillavezér és író, Buenos Aires-ben szerzett orvosi diplomát, majd a kubai forradalom során jelentős szerepet játszott a szigetország felszabadításában és újjáépítésében. A kubai gazdaság talpraállításáért dolgozott, küzdött az oktatás és az egészségügy fejlesztéséért, az írástudatlanság és a faji előítéletek felszámolásáért. Saját példájával népszerűsítette az önkéntes munkát. Kongóban és Bolíviában is harcolt - harminckilenc éves volt, amikor az amerikai-bolíviai csapatok csapdába ejtették és kivégezték.

Jó ideje látható az interneten egy fotó, amelyen a zenei világ egyik legendája, John Lennon és a marxista forradalmár, Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara gitározik együtt.
A kép, amely állítólag 1966-ban készült, számtalan közösségi oldalon bukkant már fel, de csak nemrég bizonyították be róla, hogy egyszerű hamisítvány. A szakértők kimutatták, hogy a fotót több helyen is megváltoztatták.
A valódi felvétel New Yorkban készült 1976 körül, kilenc évvel Che Guevara halála után. Az is köztudott, hogy Lennonnak 1967-ig nem volt szüksége szemüvegre. Úgy hiszik, hogy a jobb oldalon látható gitáros, Wayne Gabriel testére másolták Che arcát.

The photograph, allegedly taken in 1966, has been doing the rounds on social networking sites, but has recently been ousted as a fake. Experts pointed out several descrepnecies in the photo that lead to the image being ousted as a fake.
The real photograph was taken in New York City and is actually dated closer to 1976, nine years after Che Guevara’s death. It is also known that Lennon didn't need glasses til 1967 and he cut his hair to that length until 1970.
It is believed that the guitarist on the right is actually Che's face impressively photoshopped onto Wayne Gabriel's body. The real photograph is clearly a brighter tone with less contrast.

The comment of the webmiss, Aleida: I don't understand the explanations of the article, because it is so obvious that the photo is fake. Che couldn't play the guitar as he couldn't dance at all because he had no sense of rhythm. Furthermore, it is fairly impossible that he would have met Lennon, who was a despised "imperialist rockstar" in his eyes. Let's not forget that in the revolutionary Cuba rock music (especially the American and the British bands) were forbidden and Lennon was "rehabilitated" only three decades after Che's death, when in 2000 his statue was erected in Havana in the park called after him, John Lennon Park.

Ernesto Che Guevara, the Argentine-born revolutionary, minister, guerrilla leader and writer, received his medical degree in Buenos Aires, then played an essential part in the Cuban Revolution in liberating and rebuilding the country. He did his best to set up the Cuban economy, fought for the improvement of the education and the health system, the elimination of illiteracy and racial prejudice. He promoted voluntary work by his own example. He fought in the Congo and in Bolivia - he was thirty-nine years old, when he was trapped and executed by the joint American-Bolivian forces.
